I've followed you since about 1991 (back when we couldn't "follow") and have enjoyed every moment. While I never went through the debt situation you had, we had incredibly little discretionary income so your tips have been lifesavers to our family after I quit my job to stay home with my young boys. Although difficult, I would never trade that time for anything and consider myself blessed to have been able to do so. I'm blessed to work at a christian school that my eldest recently graduated from and where my youngest still attends. We have much more discretionary income now and give generously but still "pay as little as I can for what we need so we can have as much as possible for what we want".
