Frequently Asked Questions …

Q: I’m not able to upload my profile picture and or featured image. It says the file size is too big. How do I reduce the file size?

A: The optimal photo size for your profile picture is 200 x 200 pixels with a file size of less than 400 kb. First crop the photo so it is a headshot of you—no others in the photo. Then resize it to 200 x 200 pixels and adjust file size to 400 kb or less.

The optimal photo size for your featured image  is 455 x 275 pixels (must be in landscape orientation) with a file size of less than 400 kb. Follow the same instructions as the profile pic.

You can resize your photos by using a built-in photo editor on your computer or phone, or you can easily do that at the  free website, Photoresizer.com.

Q: I can’t remember my password. How do I get back into my account?

A: At the bottom of the Log-in page, click on “Forgot my password.” Enter your email address and you will receive a message an email with password reset instructions.

Q: I’m not able to upload my tip. Any ideas about what I’m doing wrong?

A: To upload a tip, you must have included a title for your tip and a featured image. If either of these items is missing, you will not be able to move forward to complete the tip submission.

Q: Are my chances of winning the contest better if I upload more pictures?

A: Your tip will be assessed on its quality, the number of thumbs-up votes it receives how well you have demonstrated visually. Use the fewest number of photos necessary to demonstrate your tip. More is not necessarily better.

Q: I’ve noticed that the tip titles used by TeamCE are sometimes a play on words or involve a bit of humor.  Is that OK?

A: Absolutely! We love to see you use creative, humorous tip titles. Just make sure that readers can tell what your tip is about by its title. And we want the featured image to show what your tip is all about, too.

Q: Can I have my friends and family vote on my tips?

A: Yes, it’s fine to recruit your friends and family to vote on or add comments to your tip. We love enlarging our community of tipsters.
