The first time using new sheets, I take all the time necessary to line the top sheet up “just so.”
Then, I grab a permanent marker, or using contrasting thread do a quick running stitch, to mark the bottom corners and again near the top (but under where it’ll be hidden by the blanket when done) at the mattress edge.
From then on, I can so quickly and with only one trip around the bed lay the sheet on just the right way.
Love this idea. I’m going to start using it now, even with my current sheets.
I do the same, but only mark one side at the top, near hem. Since I flip this over it doesn’t show when bed is finished. Makes lining things up on a king size bed so much easier!
The first time I use new sheets, I put a small safety pin on the fitted sheet seam at ONE corner. Since I always start at the upper left when making my bed, that’s where I put the pin, but any corner will work, as long as you don’t forget which corner the pin goes on. If you think you’ll forget, just put a larger easy-to-spot pin on the mattress at the same corner. Home free!
