We like to relax at the end of a long day and watch some TV. But cable is expensive and you usually end up paying for a bunch of channels you don’t even need. Cable can typically cost between $50-$140 per month depending on the plan.
To save money, my family ditched the cable and instead use a streaming service, Roku. We pay for Netflix streaming ($7.99 monthly) and Amazon Prime, which we already use for getting great prices on shopping ($130 a year or $10.83 a month).
For about $20 a month we are saving between $374 to $1,454 per year, depending on the cable service.
This really is great advice. We haven’t had cable for years. We do have Amazon and Netflix.
